Apply

Have children play the games that follow. Have them discuss with their partner the different topics that appear during the Talk About It feature. After the first game, ask children to discuss which landforms they’d like to visit and help them learn more about the landforms they’re interested in. After the second game, have them discuss how it might be different to live on a small island from living in the middle of a large continent.

Close

  • Ask children: If you could create a new country, what kind of climate and landforms would it have? Explain.
  • Summarize for children that people around the world live on different kinds of land and in different climates. Encourage children to think about what places they would like to live in.
