After the first game, ask children to name a fiction and a nonfiction book that they’ve enjoyed and help them learn more about the books they’re interested in. After the second game, have them choose a book from the classroom and point out the title, author, and illustrator.

Close

  • Ask children: Why do you like to create stories? Explain.
  • Summarize for children that we create stories by using words and pictures to tell about something. We can share our stories with our families and friends. Encourage children to think about what story they would like to write a sequel to.
