In this fun and interactive group activity, students practice using adverbs of manner by naming people who perform activities in a specific way.

🔹 Preparation

📄 Materials Needed:

• One set of cards per group of four (printed and cut out)

---

🔹 How to Play

👥 Step 1: Group Formation

• Divide the class into groups of four.
• Give each group a set of shuffled cards and have them place the pile face down on the table.

🎲 Step 2: Taking Turns

• The first student picks up the top card and asks the student to their right to “Name someone who…”
  • Example: “Name someone who speaks loudly.”

💭 Step 3: Answering the Question

• The student must think of someone who performs the activity in that manner and say their name.
• If they answer correctly, they keep the card.

🔍 Step 4: Follow-Up Questions

• After an answer is given, the other students ask follow-up questions to get more details.
  • Example:
    • “Why do they speak loudly?”
    • “When do they usually do it?”

🔄 Step 5: Continue Playing

• If a student cannot answer, the card goes to the bottom of the pile.
• The next student picks a new card and play continues until all cards are used.

🏆 Step 6: Winning the Game

• The student with the most cards at the end wins! 🎉
• Finish with a class discussion to share the most interesting or funny answers.
