There are 2 TOEFL Junior® tests:
- the TOEFL Junior® Standard test, delivered on paper or digitally
- the TOEFL Junior® Speaking test, delivered digitally
Each test measures different English-language skills. Both tests provide reliable administration and scoring, and scores are mapped to CEFR levels. Plus, TOEFL Junior Standard reading scores are matched to MetaMetrics® Lexile® measures so you can help students choose books at the right reading level to improve their English reading proficiency.

TOEFL Junior® Standard Test Design
The TOEFL Junior Standard test is easy and convenient to use. It is a good choice for institutions and programs looking for flexibility and quick scoring turnaround. It measures the following skills:

TOEFL Junior® Speaking Test Design
For a complete look at a student’s English-language ability, the TOEFL Junior Speaking test measures the skills needed to orally communicate successfully in English. It consists of the following:

- Score Range: 0–16
- Testing Time: 18 minutes
