Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers (Vol.1) are the first three of our Cambridge English Qualifications for schools. Designed specifically for young learners aged 6–12, they are fun, colourful and activity based, motivating children to learn.
All three exams are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and demonstrate real-life communication skills.
Exam format. A1 Movers is the start of a child’s language learning journey. The test is made up of three papers developed to encourage and motivate young learners.
The tests are written around familiar topics and focus on the skills needed to communicate effectively in English through listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Designed to assess the English language skills of children between the ages of seven and twelve, the Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) tests introduce students to everyday written and spoken English, and are an excellent way for them to gain confidence and improve their English.
