    • Would you be willing to…?

🧑‍🏫 How to Use This ESL Worksheet in Class

  1. Warm-Up: Brainstorm Requests
Write the five polite request structures on the board. Practice a few examples as a class:
    • “Would you mind helping me with my homework?”
    • “Could you pick me up from school?”
  2. Student Planning Time
Hand out the worksheets. Students fill in five activities they plan to do and need help with—anything from “wash my car” to “prepare a presentation.”
  3. Mingle & Ask for Help
Students walk around and politely ask their classmates for help using one of the request structures. Example: “Would you be willing to go to the supermarket with me on Wednesday afternoon?”
“Sure!” (classmate signs the square) 💡 Each student may only get two signatures from the same person, encouraging more interaction!
  4. Reverse Role
When someone agrees to help, students also write down any activities they agreed to help with for classmates in their own schedule.
  5. Winning the Game
    • For small classes: The winner is the student with the most filled-in activities.
    • For larger classes: The winner is the first student to fill their schedule completely.
