- Explore and apply the concept of how peoples’ lives were different before some things invented.
Language Objectives
Children will:

- Orally use words that describe how inventions we use every day have changed.
- Extend oral vocabulary by talking about how inventions can change our lives.

Explain
Explain that children are going to learn about:
- What an invention is.
- The invention of the bicycle.
- The difference between telephones then and now.
- Recent inventions.

- Ask children: What do you see in this picture? (a child using a computer). What do you think was different before computers were invented? (answers will vary).
- Ask children: What single invention do you think has changed peoples’ lives the most? (answers will vary).
