🧾 How to Use the “Questions for Me” Worksheet

Preparation:
Download and print one copy of the “Questions for Me” worksheet for each student. The worksheet includes a list of incomplete question prompts for students to finish.

👣 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Form Groups
Divide your class into groups of 15. If your class is larger, divide it into smaller groups with equal numbers. If possible, have each group sit in a circle.
  2. Write Names
Each student writes their own name at the top of their worksheet.
  3. Pass the Paper
Each student passes their worksheet to the person on their left.
  4. Write a Question
Students choose any unfinished question on the worksheet and complete it for the student whose name is at the top. They write their own name next to their question. 🔹 Example:
If the worksheet belongs to Anna and the prompt is “What do you usually…”, the student might write:
“What do you usually do on weekends?” – Mark
  5. Repeat
Students pass the paper again to the left, and the process repeats until all students receive their original worksheet back, now filled with 15 unique questions written just for them.
  6. Walk and Talk
Students now walk around the classroom and find each student who wrote a question for them. When they find the student, they must answer the question in English.

🎯 Extension Ideas

  • Have students write the answers on the back of the worksheet.
  • Turn the activity into a reporting task:
➤ “Three people asked me about my hobbies. I said I like playing guitar…”
  • Use it as a warm-up before a writing assignment like “My Classmate Interview”.

📌 Example Question Prompts (from worksheet)

  • What do you usually…
  • Have you ever…
  • If you could…, what would you…
  • What did you do last…
  • What would you do if…
  • Where do you like to…
  • Why do you think…
  • Who is your favorite… and why?
