This activity encourages critical thinking, speaking practice, and grammar reinforcement—perfect for the classroom!
How to Play:
📌 Step 1: Prepare the Game
- Download and print the free “Truth or Trick?” worksheet (PDF).
- Each student fills in six sentences about themselves—three true and three false—using adverbs of frequency (always, often, rarely, never, etc.).
- They mark their sentences as true or false but don’t show anyone!
📌 Step 2: Guessing Game
- Students take turns reading one sentence aloud.
- The rest of the group guesses if it’s true or false by placing a true/false card on the table.
- If a student guesses correctly, they keep their card. If they guess wrong, the reader keeps it!
- The student with the most cards at the end wins.
📌 Step 3: Class Discussion
- Ask students if any of the answers surprised them!
- Encourage discussion using adverbs of frequency, e.g., “I hardly ever eat pizza!”
